Help is On the Way!

February 22, 2017

Parenting is a tough job! In today’s world, many parents find themselves fighting to balance family and career. Moms and Dads are pulled in so many different directions that it is hard to stay on top of what our kids need. There are so many books and blogs dedicated to new parents, but when you are raising tweens and teens, the resources available start to dwindle.

At Parkland, we create effective resources for parents and students, as we believe that social and academic success is most likely to happen when both parties are actively involved. Parents need support, but unfortunately many parents are pressured to feel like they should have all the answers for their children. This is not so! You do not have all the answers and that is okay! We all know that there is no manual and even if there was a manual, it would not be customized for your specific child’s needs. Each child is different and you need to differentiate your approach in order to help your child reach his or her maximum potential.

We challenge you to write down and share your biggest concerns about parenting. What are you unsure of? What do you struggle with? What can you use some assistance with? Be sure to post your comments below.
